Some of you would be happy to put “The Twelve Days of Christmas” to bed for another 300-plus days. However, you may be singing a slightly different tune when you see the freebies that Apple is giving away.
Apple is currently offering its annual “12 Days of Christmas” app via iTunes. Download the app, and you’ll score a free digital download each day through January 6, 2012. Now for the sadness: Engadget says that it’s only being offered to customers in Europe. Boo!
This is actually the fourth year that the company is doing this. The freebie frenzy started yesterday, with Coldplay’s live EP from the recent Apple-sponsored iTunes Festival in London. In addition to music and videos, Apple is expected to give away apps and books as well.
If you’re a European customer, you may want to check in each day to do the download. According to Apple, each of the free items will only be available for 24 hours.
