You really can take it with you—your Verizon services, anyway. Verizon just announced the My FiOS app, which allows TV junkies to get a fix from almost anywhere.
Of course, there are plenty of apps out there that can give you a jolt of AV goodness. The big hook here is that My FiOS adds the ability to access home automation and monitoring systems, as well as customer service. Hooray for being able to pay your bill!
Of course, payments probably won’t be your favorite feature here. That’s OK, because there are plenty of others, including FiOS Digital Voice service, FiOS Mobile Remote with DVR manager, Verizon’s Home Monitoring & Control service, and Flex View.
That means you can view live security cameras, watch movies, schedule DVR recordings, and share photos with the family—all from the same app. Actually, the app is a portal to other Verizon apps. For example, when you try to access your DVR through My FiOS it will launch another app called FiOS Mobile Remote (or tell you to install it if you don’t already have it).
Right now, My FiOS is strictly an Android perk. Verizon says that they plan to share the wealth with Apple users before the end of the year.

This is really cool because you can work your house phone with it too. I still would opt for my TV Everywhere with my provider/employer DISH Network because with them I can watch live TV from anywhere and not just my DVR recordings. I have access to all my subscription channels right from my phone. Also I can use this app on IOS phones and Android.
