If you have a garage door, it’s probably been left open a few times. Is it fair to say that you’ve forgotten to close it one in 50 times that you’ve left the house? We’re guessing that the other 49 times, you’ve probably wondered whether or not it’s shut. To quell your fears, there’s LiftMaster Home Control.

This free app allows you to check in on the garage door and lighting, from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, as well as Android devices. Of course, you can’t just download the app and expect to have any old garage door at your fingertips. You’ll need a LiftMaster MyQ-enabled garage door opener and the LiftMaster Internet Gateway (available starting in October). LiftMaster MyQ enabled light accessories are also available, if you want to add lighting into the mix.

Once all of the pieces are in place, the app provides closure and peace of mind with one swipe of your compatible device. Also, if you have multiple properties, the LiftMaster Home Control app does allow users to monitor and control a few different garage door openers, which is perfect for those with a vacation home or remote workplace.

App: LiftMaster Home Control
