More often than not, we leave the house in a hurry. In the haste, it can be hard to remember whether or not you closed the garage door. With the Craftsman Assurelink Garage Opener, you can stop wondering and worrying and close it using any iPhone or Android device.
Now, the app isn’t equivalent to magic words, so it doesn’t work alone. You’re going to need to install a compatible garage door opener at home. Craftsman currently has two models that are compatible, starting at $289.99.
With the equipment in place, you can download the app for free. From there, the app will allow homeowners to peek in on the status of the garage door and even operate it from anywhere with a web connection. Whether you’re on the other side of town or the other side of the country, the app allows users to check the status and open or close the garage door at whim. It even adds in lighting options, so you won’t have to come into a completely dark area.
“Anyone who has a garage can relate to that ‘oh no’ moment when you can’t remember if you closed your garage door before leaving the house,” said Kris Malkoski, Craftsman’s VP and general manager. “With the new Craftsman Assurelink Garage Door Opener and a simple click on your smartphone app, you know the garage door is closed and your home is secure.”
The Craftsman Assurelink Garage Opener can be purchased online or through Sears stores nationwide. The compatible app is available for download via iTunes and the Android Market.
