If you have security cameras at home, you probably don’t want to just use them around the house. Channel Vision just added a new app so that users can access those cameras at home or on the go.

The new Channel Vision Security app is available now, for use with the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad.

Once downloaded, the free app allows users to peek at live video and cached recordings, as well as take snapshots. Opt for a single- or split-screen view, using one to six cameras, in portrait or landscape viewing. The app even works with multiple cameras in multiple locations, for peeking into a second or even third home. Other features include pan, tilt and zoom functions.

The Channel Vision Security app is now available for download from the iTunes App Store. The app works with Channel Vision’s 2-Megapixel Outdoor Dome IP Camera (6521), the 2-Megapixel Outdoor Bullet IP Camera (6522), the IP Flush Mount Camera (6524), the Indoor Dome Color 1.3 Megapixel IP Camera (6530), the 1-Channel Video Web Camera Server (W-1001), and the 4-Channel Web Camera Server (W-4001).

“We are excited to launch our new Channel Vision Security app,” said Darrel Hauk, Channel Vision’s president and CEO. “This app was designed to serve as a useful resource for our customers who want to view their cameras and servers remotely. With this new application, users have the peace of mind knowing they can view their cameras anywhere, at any time.”
