Both iPhone and iPad users have been able to tap into ADT Pulse for quite some time. Now, the security company is extending the same courtesy and convenience to Android users.

The new offering is called Pulse Beta. It’s specifically for Android users with an ADT Pulse system. If you have that security setup, this should offer some peace of mind. In addition to being able to arm and disarm the system remotely, it also has controls for lighting, cameras and thermostats.

Also, if you’re the type that can’t keep track of your phone, you won’t have to worry about some stranger peeking into your home and flipping the lights on and off while you’re sleeping. The app requires a log-in to use any of its features.

We’re guessing at some point, ADT will drop the Beta portion and just go with ADT Pulse on this one. Until then, check it out—and if you have feedback on the functionality, ADT welcomes that as well.

App: ADT Pulse Beta
Find it Here: Android Market
Cost: Free
