Anthony Gallo Acoustics (AGA) is going to make this a very happy holiday for all of you audiophiles out there. The company just announced that the new Nucleus Classico speaker series is now shipping.

Instead of the company’s trademark spherical speakers, AGA is bringing its high-end sound to an old-school box design. However, these aren’t the same speakers that you had cranking in high school. Instead, the Nucleus Classico boasts the company’s patented CDT 3 tweeter, proprietary S2 Technology, the new BLAST (Backwave Linearization and Synchronization Technology) System, and additional bass loading—but all in a diminutive wooden box enclosure.

That BLAST System is a very big deal, which is what gives this small package such big sound capabilities.

“With the development of our new technologies, we found a way to bring the benefits of our critically acclaimed spheres to a box loudspeaker,” says Anthony Gallo, AGA’s founder. “With this, we now offer a speaker that will elegantly blend into any lifestyle or decor. And like every other product we design, the Classicos still achieve a world-class price-to-performance ratio.”

Featuring a total of seven models, the Classico line includes the Classico CL-1 and CL-2 (pictured) mini monitors, the CL-3 and CL-4 floor standing speakers, and the CL-C center channel. Two subwoofers, the CLS-10 and CLS-12, are also available.

The CL-1 is the only model that does not feature the patented CDT 3 tweeter. This promises the ability to alter the level of the high-frequency output without using a switch. The CL-2 bookshelf speaker is also unique, with the ability to rotate the tweeter 90 degrees without compromising the sound.

Find out more about each model, as well as where to find a dealer in your area, on the Anthony Gallo Acoustics website.
