If you’ve got a larger home and/or property, you may have hardwired networking options running throughout the entire lot. Then again, maybe you don’t. Those of you should consider getting Amped.
Amped Wireless just announced that they are now shipping the R10000G High Power Wireless-N 600mW Gigabit Router. That lengthy name delivers some lengthy coverage, promising up to 10,000 square feet of Wi-Fi coverage.
Those types of connections are made possible through the use of a 620MHz processor, two power Wi-Fi 600mW amplifiers and two high-gain 5dBi antennas. All of that sounds like you’d have to dedicate a wing to Wi-Fi, but it’s really all inside the slim R10000G chassis.
Other features include gigabit wired ports for connecting other wired devices and something called Smart Features. That basically means that you can adjust Wi-Fi coverage, set parental controls, block certain websites, and even set up a few guest networks. The R10000G also has support for security, including a one-touch Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
Amped Wireless says that the R10000G is available now through all major retailers (such as Amazon), with an MSRP of $149.99.
