The summer is coming, so you’re probably going to want to take some of that technology outside. Never leave a good gadget behind! Unfortunately, getting a decent WiFi connection can sometimes be a problem. That’s why Amped Wireless has just announced the REC10 High Power 600mW Compact Wi-Fi Range Extender.
The company’s latest product can amplify the current signal that you’re getting from your router, for access in the basement, garage, yard or anywhere else that’s a bit of a dead spot. It even promises to bust signal blockers, such as concrete and cinder blocks.
Promising 12 times the power output of the average router (600mW!), Amped Wireless says that the REC10 can service up to 6,500 square feet.
Even better, you don’t have to dedicate a room to the equipment. The REC10 measures a mere 2.75-by-4 inches and can be installed in any outlet. Just plug it in, access the web menu, and select your network; it’s that simple. It even has an extra wired port for connecting a TV, Blu-ray player, gaming console or other device.
“With more and more tablets, smartphones and laptops being used by consumers and businesses today, the need for more WiFi coverage has never been greater,” stated Jason Owen, CEO at Amped Wireless. “The REC10 is the newest and smallest range extender that we’ve ever built. It’s also among the most powerful. We’ve packed our award-winning, high power technology into a compact, plug-in design that provides unrivaled Wi-Fi coverage for anyone to use their tablets and smartphones throughout their entire home or office.”
Designed to work with all brands of routers and web providers, the REC10 High Power 600mW Compact Wi-Fi Range Extender is available now, with an MSRP of $79.99.
