Smartphones and tablets are making it easy to store a lot of music in a portable form factor. However, they aren’t making any of that music sound very good. Some sort of companion speaker is a must—preferably a wireless one.
There are several speakers that have Bluetooth built in, so you can stream music from your portable right to the speaker. However, what if you like the speakers you already have? Amped Wireless wants to help you adapt that favorite piece of equipment for today’s technology, with the BTSA1 Long Range Bluetooth Speaker Adapter.
The BTSA1 can turn any speaker into a Bluetooth speaker. The adapter acts as a middleman and connects to any speaker or receiver via 3.5mm and RCA audio jacks. It boasts high-quality audio and even has the range for a multiroom streaming setup.
“Most Bluetooth speaker adapters and receivers feature very short range and restrict the user to the same room as the receiver,” Jason Owen, CEO of Amped Wireless. “By adding our award-winning high -power technology to the latest Bluetooth technology, we are able to provide users with the freedom of roaming throughout their home while streaming their music to their favorite speakers from their mobile device.”
Amped Wireless is taking pre-orders for the BTSA1 now, with plans to ship the product on November 13, 2013. It comes with two months of unlimited music via Rhapsody and an MSRP of $69.99.
