AMC Theatres is hosting a Best Pictures nominees marathon again this year.
You may have already screened “Wall-E” or “The Dark Knight” dozens of times in your rockin’ home theater. They’ve been nominated for Academy Awards in several categories and surely looked and sounded amazing in your own theater—but if you missed any or all of the five films nominated for the Best Picture Oscar, you can knock ‘em out in one day despite their unavailability on DVD or Blu-ray yet.
AMC Theatres for the third year in a row is hosting its AMC Best Picture Showcase at nearly 100 theaters in 42 North American markets (you can find the full list here).
A day pass—which doubles as a souvenir lanyard—gets you into the theater for just $30 ($25 if you’re an AMC MovieWatcher member), and comes with free large popcorn refills. You can come and go as you choose during the marathon, so even if you’ve seen one of the five movies and want to skip out for lunch or dinner, go ahead.
There’s limited seating, you should probably call ahead and get your pass for the event, which runs this Saturday, February 21 (the 81st Annual Academy Awards air the following night).
Showtimes are as follows:

The woven acoustic screen is now available in a retractable, masking version.
Centralized home control and automation plus boatload of A/V options including dropdown theater screen revitalize 12K-square-foot home.
Should TV manufacturers offer dumbed-down TVs that focus on image quality rather than apps?
Say hello to home control in this high-tech palace, circa 2006.
