If you build it, they will buy—at least that’s what Amazon is hoping with their new, Amazon High-Def 101 website.

The site is full of HD info, giving pros, cons, ins and outs of a variety of product catgeories, including HDTVs, gaming systems, computers, cables, and more. Amazon will arm you with the knowledge, but hopes you’ll come packing a credit card to buy up any of the high-def devices featured on the site.

Amazon’s main audience is the less-tech-savvy consumer, but it probably doesn’t hurt to brush up before you go dumping multiple paychecks into high-priced holiday gifts.

Other site features include a regular blog, educational videos, FAQs and various interactive forums.
