Amazon is currently offering the HD-A3 packaged with seven HD DVDs.
Apparently the war isn’t over until the stockroom is cleared.
Amazon is promoting yet another HD DVD sale. This time, you can get the Toshiba HD-A3 HD DVD player and seven HD movie titles for a cool $129 (not including shipping).
Engadget says that the deal is just part of the HD DVD “perfect offer,” plus “300” and “The Bourne Identity,” which come packed in the player box.
There’s no word on how long the sale will last; however, to qualify for five of those free HD DVDs, you need to make a purchase before February 28, 2008.

so guys what are your sources, where did those rumors come from?
I’ve been hearing Fox is supposed to start supporting HD-DVD. I didn’t hear they would can Blu-Ray, though.
Still good for HD-DVD.
wooohoooo
That would be awsome, looks like there are new deals being hammered out behind the scenes.BRING IT ON
So how come neither of you guys will offer a source for this news about Fox?
This JVC projector offers more onscreen pixels than most, and a THX mode.
DPI, Sunfire and SnapAV deliver high performance at a reasonable price.
Sayonara, set-top box? Or will it just take an energy-saving nap?
It’s hard to imagine life without remote controls, but it’s been a long, strange path to the modern incarnation we know and love today.
I think its time to invoke the BS clause on these guys. Three people claim to have “heard” something, but none of them can provide a source.
I’m not saying they didn’t hear it. I hear things on the web all the time (that end up being nothing more than rumors started on a message board then picked up by a blog then copied by another blog and then that blog is copied by a 3rd blog and suddenly people see the same thing posted in a few places and it starts to sound true). Without some kind of source, it’s just empty rumor.
