Aiptek’s $250 i2 3D Pocket Camera should hit the Asian market in July.

Nothing drives expansion in an industry like something really cheap. Quality doesn’t always necessarily matter as long as it’s really, really cheap, right?

This is the approach usually taken by Chinese electronics manufacturer Aiptek, so I can’t see any reason their recently announced i2 3D pocket video camera would be any different.

The Flip-ish shooter offers stereoscopic 3D shooting at up to 720p thanks to a pair of 5mp CCD sensors.

Pricing translates to roughly $250 U.S., but no states-side launch has been announced. It should be invading the bulk of Asia sometime in July.
