You’ve invested all of that time (and money) in an audio/video setup. Don’t you think it makes sense to protect it?
While power protection is typically an afterthought, Acoustic Research is bringing the topic to the forefront with a slew of new product announcements. According to Twice, the company is now shipping its PW1000 Home Theater Power Station with SpeedPass and two new power conditioners.
With an MSRP of $249, the PW1000 Home Theater Power Station with SpeedPass (pictured below) is the priciest of the new products. It includes Acoustic Research’s PureCurrent power conditioning and surge protection, SpeedPass front-panel connectivity, and a five-port Ethernet switch.
The company also has two new power conditioners, designed to protect that home theater equipment from power surges. The ARHT08 can accommodate eight outlets for $59.99, with the ARHT10 (pictured right) taking on 10 outlets for another $10. Both products also have PureCurrent to purify “dirty power,” as well as two USB charging ports for smartphones, tablets, and other portables.

The hands-free option is a voice-activated and Internet-connected assistant for the home.
Home control technologies can enhance ambiance, entertainment and comfort in the dining room.
