We see and write about hundreds of homes every year at Electronic House. There’s always a good story to tell about each of them, but naturally, some are more memorable than others. Usually, it has nothing to do with how much the homeowners spent on their electronic systems or the size or style of their house. What we drool over are those unique applications of technology that we’ve never, ever run across in our decades-plus years of covering technology for the home. Here are some of my favorites of 2010:

One is a subsidiary of DTS, with the other looking to gain traction via Indiegogo.
A SIM2 Mico 50 LED projector and 110-inch screen shine in this room.
3M technology poised to boost the vibrancy and richness of colors on LCD screens.
