You article is very true television has stepped up its’ game. I know there are features like HD and 3D but the real value in my opinion is the smart tv apps. Really it is the integration of computer technolgy with the television features that are of substance. The dvr or new cloud features for content, the interactive guide for show selection and the new 4k and 8k picture quality which helps to deliver skype, photos and video almost better than life-like. We hope that apple’s foray into this hardware product will not be for todays’ television but with a view toward the future with the use of these and other emerging technology. We purchase the LG 47LM8600 for our office but are looking for a larger set for the media center with similar features.
