A lot of projectors claim to have bright images. However, if you’re looking for something that doesn’t take up a ton of space, you can be limited. That said, Display Development just introduced a new pair of powerful, compact projector offerings.
The Digital Film 4 (DF4) and Digital Film 5 (DF5) systems can deliver a 2K DCI performance with a powerful Xenon lamp that can output up to 10,000 lumens. That’s like having your own little star packed inside a box that’s just 28 inches deep.
It’s not blinding, though. It’s quite beautiful — and has options for a 3D upgrade, too.
Other features include 16-bit processing, as well as Display Development’s VP-100 Video Processor and Smart Cooling System. The DF4 also has the VariScope lens for displaying multiple screen memories without the need for an anamorphic lens, while the DF5 has a fixed-image-width lens.
“The Digital Film Series models are the high-fidelity performance solution when nothing short of a true movie theater experience will do,” says Jim Burns, co-founder and president of Display Development. “The DF4 and DF5 systems are compact in size and both are extremely capable of providing sufficient output for bright rooms with acoustically transparent screens, as well as superb 3D operation. With the added flexibility these new models offer, we are thrilled to expand true digital cinema opportunities for our dealers.”
Display Development is selling the DF4 and DF5 now priced at $89,000 and $80,000, respectively.
