I think the VUDU app is useful as it doesn’t actually control your VUDU, but lets you browse the catalog and queue up a rental while you are out and about.

Other iPhone apps for control don’t interest me as they are designed to control that one device and often can not adjust volume or turn on the display.
I feel the iPhone apps that are useful are those for Crestron, Savant and other full fledged control systems where the iPhone actually integrates with your existing control system, instead of trying and to replace or supplement one small part of the bigger picture.

That being said, you should give mention to RemoteScape for controlling Kaleidescape. This app was written by one of the founder’s of Kaleidescape and has the very cool feature of shaking the iPhone triggers the cover art shuffle.

How do have a section devoted to aps for home theaters and you completely miss the aps from CONTROL4, CRESTRON, and AMX?!?
