Does you think a room is too small for your dream home theater? Will the electronics ruin your aesthetics?
There are lots of ways to conceal electronics and more consumers are starting to go that route.
As part of its Electronic Lifestyles Designer Awards, CEDIA has compiled some of the most creative solutions for hiding electronics, including ways to conceal flat-panel TVs, projection screens, speakers, and more without compromising performance.
For this competition, CEDIA says “a hidden installation must reflect a unique, innovative, or creative technique or use of technology that effectively hides or blends with the surrounding living environment when not in use.”

Sayonara, set-top box? Or will it just take an energy-saving nap?
It’s hard to imagine life without remote controls, but it’s been a long, strange path to the modern incarnation we know and love today.
What an incredible display of unwarranted back slapping and self indulgence on the part of some of those installers. Very little if anything is hidden in some of the installs. In others the sound must be horrible despite many thousands of dollars worth of gear due to untamed, reflective surfaces such as entire walls of windows and tiled floors.
I’m starting to get the hint that most things we are going to see on here are more for bragging rights of installers and less on actually giving a customer a quality install. Unless of course the customer just wants to brag about how much they spent and not what they got for their money.
