Take it straight from the custom electronics pro on this one: “In a home with an amazing dedicated theater, a Harley Davidson display bar and a two story waterfall within the two main floors it’s hard to believe it could get any more unique!”
What P.J. Aucoin of Calgary-based Home Concepts couldn’t believe was this home’s master suite. And it is sweet—both to begin with, and then after Home Concepts got through outfitting it with two wall-mounted TVs and a mirror TV.
“The homeowners were very open to our design ideas, but also had seen items that they wanted included in the setup which we were more then happy to incorporate,” says Aucoin of the 19-inch Seura mirror TV that appears when powered on in the bathroom and disappears when off.
The master suite and ensuite show off the custom home builder’s prowess with its aesthetics, and Home Concepts managed to add the audio and video without taking much away from the mix of stone, tile and woodwork.
Along with the Seura TV, a 46-inch Samsung LCD and 58-inch Samsung plasma hang in the area. Elan provides the speakers, video routing and part of the contro—there are in-wall OleXL and conventional Ole touchpads. The homeowners can also work an RTI T3 universal remote for controls.
“The fun doesn’t stop there, as you continue through the ensuite you find a small sitting deck off of it, then continue through to the very large walk in closet,” says Aucoin, “and the music follows you all the way through to the laundry room and back to the master bedroom.”
With all the A/V at their disposal just in the master suite, it’d be tough not to whistle along with some happy tunes every day in this home.

Gotta love that bathroom mirror tv
You have got to be kidding.
In the bath—
Downlignts over head at a mirror?
An off center, mirror mounted (?) fixture on the mirror?
In the bedroom—
Downlights over the TV monitor?
A large drum shaded pendant hanging over the foot of of the bed?
Oh please!!!
Android-controllable stat can be managed at home or away, and it looks great too.
Centralized home control and automation plus boatload of A/V options including dropdown theater screen revitalize 12K-square-foot home.
Should TV manufacturers offer dumbed-down TVs that focus on image quality rather than apps?
Say hello to home control in this high-tech palace, circa 2006.
Why do you people need to make such comments, it’s not your house so if you don’t have something nice or informative to say then shut your trap. It’s people like you “lighting designs” that make the world miserable not a large drum mirror over the foot of a bed that I’m sure the owner put there because they want it there.
