Want to ring in the holiday season on the cheap? Amazon is currently offering a 1-cent sale on Samsung Galaxy phones.
The sale has been going on for a few days and ends TODAY. However, that still gives you plenty of time to stock up on phones for the whole family. Of course, the catch is that you need to sign up for a service plan. Also, make sure you are buying directly from Amazon or Amazon Wireless; the retailer’s third-party merchants won’t give you that special price.
Currently, the two phones going for a penny each are the Samsung Fascinate and the Samsung Captivate. Both are 3G-enabled Android phones with a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display. Each one also has a 5-megapixel camera, which can do 720p HD video.
Other features on both phones include Wireless-N Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 support, as well as the Swype keyboard. The Captivate comes with 16GB of internal memory, while the Fascinate does 2GB, with another 16GB via a pre-loaded microSD card.
Both phones come packed with the rechargeable battery and charger. The Captivate also throws in a stereo headset and USB cable.
