Epson Puts "More" Into Printers

Digital Issues of Electronic House!

I am not a big fan of products that try to cram a ton of little products into one big product -- even if that unit saves me some desk space. I always figured that if one of the features broke down, I would be looking at a semi-functional paperweight.

As a result, my office was always cuttered with a scanner, printer, and whatever else, and I was perfectly happy. At least I thought so. Then I got a little taste an Epson Stylus. These all-in-one printers offer copying and scanning features, at the touch of a button.

Now PopPhoto.com says they have added two new "More-in-One" products, which are priced very modestly, between $100 and $150. Try buying a group of products for that price!

Both the Stylus CX5000 and the CX6000 promise bright images, speedy copying and printing (with or without your PC). However, what makes the CX6000 worth the extra 50 bucks is the 2-inch color display, which allows you to view, edit and select photos from storage cards or USB-enabled electronics. It's definitely a bonus for those who like to print a lot of photos. -- Rachel Cericola
