Maybe you heard, but the iPad came out last weekend.
Even if you’ve been following the frenzy closely, it’s not hard to miss some of the little things - like all of the iPad-specific apps that were announced.
Sure, the iPad works with the existing 150,000 iPhone apps out there. But not all of them look so great when blown up on the big screen.

I’m a Mac fanatic and I’m quite eager to get my hands on an iPad, but I have to say—I find the constant stream of almost nothing but iPad news here at Electronic House over the past few days to be pretty disappointing.
I know the iPad is considered “the next big thing,” and I have no doubt that its release was a major event, but I really miss seeing fresh home automation news and “Cool Homes” when I log on to Electronic House in the morning.
I hope to see a shift back in that direction sooner rather than later! =)

Though I guess in retrospect, the last day or two there’s been a shift away from the constant iPad news… I think the weekend’s stream of five or six iPad articles in a row is still sticking with me… which led to a bit of an “Oh, Great, another iPad article” reaction on this one.
That said, still looking forward to seeing some updates to the “Cool Homes” section ;-)
