11 New Blu-ray Players at CEDIA Expo 2009
Here are 11 Blu-ray players introduced, or that had features added to, at CEDIA Expo 2009 in Atlanta.
September 14, 2009 | by Steve Crowe

While we’re a little disappointed by the non-existence of OLED TVs at CEDIA Expo 2009 in Atlanta, the list of new Blu-ray players is pretty impressive.

Among the most notable additions is Toshiba’s first Blu-ray player, the BDX2000. Toshiba has included 1080p output at 24 frames per second on the Profile 2.0 player. It also has Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Sony, Yamaha, and NAD Electronics each added two Blu-ray players at the show. Also, there were a few that support digital media streaming, including the Sony BDP-N460, Sharp BD-HP52U, and LG BD390.

While the BD390 isn’t new, LG did announce the addition of Vudu streaming, joining YouTube, CinemaNow, and Netflix streaming on the player.

The following is a sample of the Blu-ray players introduced at CEDIA Expo 2009 in Atlanta.
