Lighting seems like a simple concept, but it's more than just switches and an occasional bulb change. However, for most people, lighting is an afterthought. It certainly doesn't have the immediate "wow" factor of a huge plasma screen -- but it can.

The HAI Lumina system is both affordable and fun to operate. Instead of amusing yourself with how the lights go on and off, Lumina allows you to preset lighting "scenes" to accommodate every mood or event in your life.

That means you can have the perfect setting for movie time, bedtime or romance time. It also provides Home, Away, Party, Sleep, Special or Vacation lighting scenarios, so you might even be able to save a couple of bucks without even thinking about it. You'll need to get one of HAI's installers in to help out, to replace light switches and mount the controller. The system is available for eight rooms (and 64 loads) or the Lumina Pro can handle the big boys with up to 31 rooms (and 217 loads).
