Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Literally. In case you haven’t flipped the calendar, it’s next week, people. Yes, it’s a Hallmark holiday. It’s also the Hallmark holiday—the one that can put you in the doghouse.

While last-minute flowers and candy might work for some, you’d be surprised at what your significant other finds really romantic. According to a new study by the Consumer Electronics Association (via Twice), eight in 10 women want the sparkle of shiny, new electronics this year.

“This Valentine’s Day, the way to a women’s heart just might be through electronics,” said Jessica Boothe, manager of strategic research of CEA. “Women want technology more than ever and they view electronics as very personal devices that can be toted around and customized with private information.”

Of course, a giant tech bauble isn’t always an option. Still, it’s very possible to give a gift that the electronics fan would absolutely adore.
